Grant County Board of Health will meet February 19, at the Grant County Health Department. New business will include appointment of offi cers and approval of the annual plan.

The West Virginia Secretary of State’s mobile offi ce hours for the month of February will take place in Grant County on Tuesday, February 17, from 11 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. as follows:

WVSOS Field Representative Lexi Brown A WVSOS staff member will be available to assist citizens with voter registration, new business registration, how to fi le an Annual Report, and any other question or inquiry someone may have for the WV Secretary of State’s Offi ce.

The Petersburg Church Women United and the Grant County Ministerial Association will sponsor the annual Lenten Luncheons on each Wednesday during Lent in the Fellowship Hall of the Petersburg Presbyterian Church at 20 North Main Street.

Each lunch will feature a menu of soup, sandwich, and dessert which will be served promptly at noon.

A local pastor will present a brief Lenten message, and the event will end at 12:30. The cost is $5 and everyone is welcome to attend.

Rosanne H. Glover will be directing a Community Chorus for the Christmas season and Veterans Day.

Anyone in the Petersburg, Moorefield and surrounding areas who enjoys
singing is welcome and encouraged to participate.

Rehearsals will be held on Tuesday evenings from 6:30-8:30, beginning Sept. 9, at the Petersburg Presbyterian Church, located  between Judy’s Drug Store and the Annex Building in Petersburg

Patterson Creek Ruritan Club meets the second Thursday of each month, 6 p.m. at Forman Community Center in Lahmansville

New Beginnings Community Outreach, Thursday, 6-9 p.m. at First Baptist Church, Virginia Ave

Grant County Farmers Market is open through September, from 8 a.m. to noon every Wednesday and Saturday at the city parking lot.

Grant County Historical Society board of directors meetings will be posted on the Society’s Facebook page. Members are welcome to attend.

Grant County Family Support Center events Spanish classes, Wacky Wednesdays and more. All activities are free at their facility on 101 Alt Ave., Petersburg.
