Ricky Allen “Rick” Stonestreet, 64, of Petersburg, W.Va., passed away Friday, Jan. 8, 2021, at Grant Memorial Hospital, Petersburg.
Born July 17, 1956, in Petersburg, he was a son of the late Mary Ellen (Keplinger) Borror Stonestreet and Charles Edward Stonestreet. In addition to his parents, Rick was preceded in death by two sisters, Juanita Mullenax and Wanda Stump; and infant brother, Junior Wayne Borror.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Shreve Stonestreet; three sisters, Betty Kesner of Petersburg, Alma (David) Williams of Petersburg and Sandy (Olen) Riggleman of Moorefield, W.Va.; one brother, W. Paul (Freda) Borror of Petersburg; and several nieces and nephews.
Rick was a graduate of Petersburg High School Class of 1975. He became an EMT in 1978 and became a CPR instructor in December 1978 and taught in various surrounding counties. He was a member of the EMS Regional Board for many years.  He became an MICP and NREMT-P in early ‘80s.  He was on the county 911 board. Rick was a surgical technician for Grant Memorial Hospital in Petersburg for 41 years. He was a member of Gordon Chapel United Methodist Church and served as trustee. He was a former member of the Petersburg Volunteer Fire Company.
Graveside services were Monday morning at Maple Hill Cemetery, Petersburg, with Pastor David Webb officiating.
