Hunter Whetzel appeared before the Grant County Commission last week to discuss upcoming plans to run a fi re levy call that would aid in funding all four volunteer fi re companies in the county. Whetzel explained that the Grant County Fire Association recently held a meeting where they discussed the upcoming May election. “Obviously we are all aware that in the last election our levy lost by a very minimal number,” Whetzel said. “We feel we still need this funding and this assistance from our community. And we know that this would be a huge benefi t to each department in the county, which is why we would like to put it back on the ballot in May.
